New York Minute in Clarkston

Called and placed order at 602, they did say they were busy so would it be OK if it was ready at 720, got there a couple minutes before and STILL waited 30 more minutes!! A man came in placed order n walked out within 10 minutes!! Pure BS!!! I did not get into my car till 750!!! Staff was very friendly but that does NOT make up for my wait. Food was not even warm!! Have had WAY better Chinese food elsewhere!!! They are very unorganized!!! Will NEVER go there again!! Not worth my 2 hours for BLAND good!!! I will stick with China Fare in Ortonville!!! At least there they tell you a time n you do not have to wait another 30 minutes for your order to be ready!!! If I could have given it no stars I would have!!!

Great service friendly people and good food. Im used to Detroit or big city restaurant's and was carving Chinese food since I've moved to this area. Needless to say they hit the mark! Definitely my new favorite place😘

This was the WORST food I have ever ordered from ANYWHERE....... I ordered a curry vegetable with chicken and it had absolutely no flavor to it.... my wife and son ordered the sesame chicken and both of their chickens were as HARD as rocks and just as dry!!! The rice was like balls of paste.. We live about 20 minutes from there and made a special trip to try a new place.... We will NEVER patronize this hole in the wall ever again.... AND to top it off their employees got in a fight while we were there shouting obscenities at each other!!!Never again!!!!

Fantastic place! Good food, good people!

We ordered the sweet and sour chicken and the orange chicken. First, it took forever!!!!! Second, the orange chicken was sesame chicken and the sweet and sour had no sauce. The chicken was cold by the time I got it home and was hard as rocks. Not impressed.

Nice guys and super polite. Food was HORRIBLE . Sweet and sour chicken the chicken was overcooked and burnt like crackling. Fried rice was dry, the egg rolls were gummy, the time I was told when I ordered was 20 minutes, that turned into hour and 10! Other food was flavorless and uneventful. Save the money and drive, unfortunately is not worth the cost or the time.

I think the son (owner) cant handle this place without his mom. I was waiting almost an hour for my food and when I said something he lost it and started cussing and throwing things. The lady b4 me had also complained about something and I just don't think he can handle it. Sadly this place can not survive without the original owner. No one working at this place has a mask on and there were so many flies that im kind of glad he ripped the food off the counter and refused to serve me. Unpleasant, gross and disrespectful. Never again

This place is very good. The owners are very kind and their food is even better. Never had a bad experience with New York minute and I don't think I ever will. Food is priced a little high but it is well worth it for the large portions and the fantastic taste.

The people giving this place a 5 star review you really should try other places to eat even for this place being low cost food it's not good. Just precooked meat with different sauces dumped over it.

THIS PLACE IS A MICHIGAN LAND MARK THE CRAB CHEESE IS CRAZY EXCELLENT AND THE GENERAL TSO IS THE MOST DANK CHICKEN I HAVE EVER HAD. From the first moment you arrive in this restaurant team give you a great feeling. Very comfortable hosts, it is a friendly restaurant to enjoy with buddies or with your date. delightful cooking, talented chief cook and stuff, honest cost and courteous service. Highly recommended.

The food is standard options, and consistently good, but the accompanying selection of other groceries makes this site a bit more unique than other restaurants of this type. This isn’t the sit-down type of restaurant, but caters more to the pick-up client or quick lunch crowd. It’s always busy at the end of the work day as people drive by on their way home, so try to be patient during the evening dinner crush.

Not your best job tonight, boys. The place seemed very unorganized tonight and the food had no flavor. I love you, but it wasn’t the same tonight.

Very nice lady helped me out today. I came in and ordered a lunch special. I decided on the sesame chicken which comes with rice and an egg roll for $6.99. The chicken was delicious- large pieces, moist and tender with just a thin coating of batter- LOVE!I didn’t love the sesame sauce though, just too sweet for me. I will definitely go back and try a different chicken dish.

Order spicy Hunan chicken. The only Positive thing about this dish was the red pepper flakes. The meal had no flavor at all, other then hot, it was very bland. Had to toss it out. The fried rice was dry and not much flavor either. My husband got the fried shrimp. Some of the shrimp was good but half of the order was over cooked. The over cooked shrimp were very dry! Never again.

This place used to be good, but until recently it has gone downhill. It started with orders missing things here and there, and then the food itself started getting worse. Hard coatings on the chicken, undercooked chicken and beef, sauces that tasted watered down, and the food somehow coming out cold when you just see it get brought out.Like i said it used to be a really good place with the old cook and the owners who used to work the place but, now the new crew has no idea what they are doing.

This place is certainly one of the most pleasant place to eat in the area. Anytime I come to this place I am extremely happy. They always keep their very high standard service and the highest level of cooking they offer. You are always happy with this restaurant. Warmly recommended.

We tried this place the other night for the first time because we've been on an endless search for good quality Chinese food in our area. The owners were so sweet and checked each order to make sure it was correct before bagging it. We ordered the sweet and sour chicken, general tso's chicken, pad Thai and spring rolls. We were shocked at how much food you get for the price! Most Chinese restaurants skimp out on the chicken and it's mostly batter but NY Minute gives big pieces of chicken with a perfect amount of breading. Everything we ordered was fantastic and we could tell it was fresh. I didn't even feel guilty eating fried food since it was such good quality! Most of the time after eating Chinese you feel like you just ate a brick of salt but that's not the case here. We will definitely make the 20 minute drive to eat here!

The worst Chinese food ever...and I'm not saying this lightly. Egg rolls were old enough that the bean sprouts were brown and musty. Cashew chicken had zero cashews and it was 1/3 chicken 2/3 onion and carrot soup. Thai sweet chili chicken was chunks of boiled chicken poorly breaded and thrown in sweet chili sauce. Their fried rice is just days old rice with brown coloring. I would not ever recommend ordering here, and we will not be repeating our mistake.

A lot of microwaves used here. Threw away $50+in food. Fried rice had a plastic taste, chicken was well I’m not sure what it was. Get it together.

Spring rolls were burnt and my szechuan shrimp was not only bland but the shrimp was so "fishy" I had to spit it out. The chicken in the sweet & sour chicken and chicken and broccoli was dry and rubbery like a dog chew. I gave them 2 stars because the egg drop soup is the best I've had in a while.

My husband and I had an awesome first experience last night. We ordered the sweet and sour chicken and beef and broccoli. Both were delicious! Portions were very generous and it was only a 10 minute wait. The family that owns and works here are the most genuine people we had met in a long time.

I live in Grand Blanc and really was craving Chinese food and the owner delivered it to me and they aren't supposed too. Not only that but the food is amazing. I highly recommend

The worst I have ever had, chicken was raw, ordered almond boneless chicken drove 20 min only to get home and discover raw chicken , called and was told would return money on card never did, will not give them opportunity to screw me again you can’t serve raw food Especially poultry. Offered to make another meal but taking no chances ! Put money back on card didn’t eat the food shouldn’t have to pay

My wife and I drive twice as far as we would to get to the "local" Chinese restaurant. The portions and quantity of food for the money is great. They have the best wonton soup. Most places it is almost all broth, not here. We will be back!Update.. So we have been regular customers. Our last order really left us disappointed. I ordered lemon chicken and got burnt orange chicken. My wife ordered sweet and sour and the chicken was over cooked. The fried rice was way over done.. Miss Kim would never stand for this.. We were were so sad to hear she passed away. we loved New York minute..

We eat here a lot! The food is super fantastic, the staff and owner are most pleasant. Always a great experience. We will continue to eat Chinese they make. No one makes it better!!! 😁❤️

Almost two hours from the time I ordered to the time I received my food. I totally understand that we are in crisis times. That being said, be upfront with your customers. You know what you can accomplish in certain time frames. Normally my favorite part of having Chinese food are the spring rolls. They were soggy. The sweet and sour chicken, dry, the sweet and sour sauce, watery. The egg foo young, fell apart, the crab rangoon, sweet (not supposed to be) . The fried rice, oily. They said they had to change the oil because the chicken came out too dark. Apparently, they did this after they made my food. First time at this establishment, needless to say it's also the last. And you can have this experience too, all for 51.00. #notworththeaggravation.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!The saddest Chinese food ive ever had. The fact that they call this NEW YORK miniute is a shame and they should be sued. Honestly i wouldnt be suprised if they pay for fake reviews givin how bad the food is and how highly rated it is.

Extremely nice customer service. My boyfriend and i went in for the first time and they were extremely nice let us take our time over the menu to order and made the food faster than expected. I got shrimp in lobster sauce and crab rangoons and they were excellent. Highly recommend this place.

This place is a total nightmare, there will be no one here but you'll have to wait forever for your order, it will be gross. It doesn't even look like a real restaurant. The staff are rude. If you want a bad day, go here, then you can go home and vomit. I see five good reviews. They obviously work here

Decided to drive the 15-20mins to try something new in search of good Chinese. Food was fresh and flavorful with generous portions for the price. The single biggest downfall was getting all the way back home only to find they didn't give us any of the containers of rice. I would completely be willing to give it another try at a later date considering we have lost our most local establishment. The staff was super friendly even with the nonstop phone orders pouring in on top of the walk-in crowd. Both must be signs of a quality choice.

We have lived in this area for 31 years and tried New York Minute's food for the first time today. Delicious! We chose 4 different main dishes, egg rolls and crab rangoons. Yum! The staff was extremely friendly and I would recommend their food to everyone. They have acquired new customer.

This is the best American Chinese food I've had in Michigan. The woman who started this place is a legend. I love that's its Korean American owned because Koreans always take pride in their and you can taste that corners were not cut. 5+ stars.

2nd time I have eaten here. I don't know if it was a bad batch or what, but I got food poisoning. Perhaps it was because of the rush of orders they are experiencing due to COVID-19, because usually from what I understand this is a good place to eat and the staff are super friendly. Probably won't eat here again, at least until things are back to normal.

1. Food is on point. Not an expert here but I try to stop here to get food whenever passing thru. 2. The people are great. Friendly. Helpful. There's a guy that works the counter who is a pleasure to watch. He's fast, personable and has a great sense of humor. It's a great store too.

Order from here for the first time today and found the food to be bland, cold, and greasy. the broccoli beef had no depth of flavor and tasted more of roast beef. On top of that the girl behind the counter was rude to all of the customers. I asked if they had a specific type of Sake, that I like, which she just replied with "I don't know" and that was the end of it. Tried heating up our food but that just made everything even dryer then it was to start with. Wasted 53$ here and still hungry for dinner

I hate hate hate hate to leave this review. I loved ms Kim and her son. They are great great great. I’ve eaten here a lot and loved it! Lately , things have been different. The last two times the food was kinda freezer burnt tasting. The egg roll wasn’t even edible. I got the wonton soup which I LOVED. Now the inside taste old , almost chemically. Ugh I’m so so sorry. But something has seriously CHANGED about this place

This place is awesome! The staff are amazing! Always so friendly and accommodating! We picked up food many times. The one time they forgot an item they offered to deliver with no hesitation. We are over 15 minutes away! We will be loyal customers forever!

The food used to be really tasty, this is the second time. no flavor at all. I wonder if there is a new cook I threw away half of my order. Wonton soup noodles fell apart all mushy. The chips were stale.
